May I send reading material, such as books and novels, to an inmate? If so, is there a procedure I must follow? Thanks.

Mail policy used to be unwritten and hit or miss. USPS is the recommended carrier (others may be return to sender). Now they are supposed to have a mail policy, something like a book or 2 per month and several magazines. The have been less strict lately.
